Bio

Australian/British soprano Stephanie Lloyd studied at The University of Queensland (UQ) with Shaun Brown and at The Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (QCGU) with Margaret Schindler.

At QCGU, Stephanie performed the role of Contessa, Le Nozze di Figaro (Mozart) in the Val Machin scenes and again in its entirety in the 2013 QCGU Opera. She performed as a soloist in Poulenc Stabat Mater and Faure Requiem with the Brisbane Concert Choir. She sang in the chorus for a semi-staged production of Bach’s St Matthew Passion by Opera Queensland.

Since graduating a Master of Music Studies from QCGU (2013), Stephanie has been living in London and Cardiff. She worked with visual artist, William Mackrell, on various collaboration pieces. This included performances at Olympia London and The William Bennington Gallery. In addition, she has sung at several official events for Harrods at their Knightsbridge store.

In 2016 Stephanie was invited to attend the Lisa Gasteen National Opera School in Brisbane (Australia), where she sang in Gala scenes as Euridice, Orfeo ed Euridice (Gluck) and Cupid, Orphée aux enfers (Offenbach). In 2017, she attended Bel Canto in Tuscany, a three-week intensive summer programme led by Giovanni Reggioli. Across two concerts, she presented scenes as Contessa, Le Nozze di Figaro (Mozart), Fiordiligi, Cosi Fan Tutte (Mozart) and Giulietta, Les Contes d'Hoffmann (Offenbach).

Stephanie joined the Glyndebourne Festival Chorus in 2018 for the Summer Festival and Tour. Stephanie studies with Dennis O’Neill and Nuccia Focile at the Wales International Academy of Voice (WIAV).
